The ground floor, serving as the heart of Etiler House 02, incorporates an open-plan layout connecting the living room and kitchen to suit the family’s daily habits. Inspired by traditional Japanese “shoji” panels, sliding doors open these spaces to one another, providing both transparency and separation when needed. This design choice establishes a warm, airy atmosphere. A guest WC and private areas, including a workroom, two children’s bedrooms, and a bathroom, are similarly separated from the common areas by white lacquered “shoji”-inspired doors, allowing privacy and functionality.
Storage needs are met with built-in systems lining the ground floor corridors, maximizing efficiency and accessibility. The master bedroom, designed as an independent sanctuary, occupies the basement level and includes a dressing room, bathroom, work, and lounge areas. Accessed by a spiral staircase from the living room, this secluded area provides a cozy retreat.
Natural materials and textures blend with warm tones to create a comfortable, inviting atmosphere throughout the home. On the ground floor, a white color palette is complemented by polished natural oak and wenge oak wall coverings, bringing warmth and openness to the space. Bold-toned furniture adds vibrancy, while decorative paint on the spiral staircase walls hints at the dark green tones found in the master bedroom below.
