In Istanbul’s Çubuklu district, escapefromsofa’s Mesa Orman Evi offers a spacious, functional family residence tailored for a five-member family. Combining two apartments on a single floor, the design provides ample storage, functionality, and a safe, modern living environment.
The clients discovered escapefromsofa through social media, inspired by the studio’s previous projects. Their primary request was a functional and elegant home with generous storage. This modern design uses a cohesive palette of light tones with accents of darker hues, balancing natural materials like oak and marble for warmth and elegance.
The living and dining areas combine oak, glass, and marble for an integrated open-plan space. An ethanol fireplace under the TV unit and marble accents in the dining area add sophisticated touches, while lighter-toned furniture enhances spaciousness. A featured sculpture by Ayla Turan, Bookworm, adds character to the dining area.
The kitchen is designed as a social hub with a central island and integrated storage, creating a practical yet welcoming atmosphere.
The parents’ suite includes a work area within the bedroom, while the children’s rooms provide dedicated zones for study, dressing, and relaxation, tailored to the family’s needs. The guest room serves as a cozy retreat for visitors.
The bathrooms maintain the home’s natural aesthetic, using oak and marble to create a refined, functional layout that meets the family’s daily needs.
